Logo and Editorial Design
FLIQ
Named for a quirky habit of designer George Soo, Fliq is his multidisciplinary design consultancy. Fliq is a visual play of a sideways-overturned letter ‘p’ from the word ‘flip’. This is a quiet reference to George’s habit of flipping over furniture he comes across in order to further scrutinise hidden or often ignored details on the underside. The final logo is a point blank, re-telling of this anecdote in the most honest way possible. This branding is also expressed as catalogues for use at furniture fairs.
The satisfaction of any work is leaving the audience with just enough information to figure things out on their own. Or in the case of our logo for Fliq, a reason to spark a conversation.
Supersized formats make great visual statements. We envisioned these A2 sized catalogues as mobile billboards for Fliq at the furniture fair.
